The existence of a special regime for the Manaus Free Trade Zone and its integration with other Brazilian systems has become one of its specialities, as well as preventive guidance for the best optimization of operational advantages.
During the research period, the firm represented Terminais Fluviais do Brasil by proposing a Special Regime request exposing the need for the suspension of the ICMS tax on Ethanol when in transits through the State of Amazonas. The firm was successful in such a request, allowing the transportation chain stage, occurring within the state of Amazonas, not to be burdened with undue ICMS values.
