A: No. Our rankings are based entirely on the independent research carried out by our researchers.
A: We announce the research in January each year and submissions are due in March.
A: Yes, while the research form allows you to submit for both World Tax and World Transfer Pricing at the same time, you can submit for one or other of the projects by just including the relevant information in the research form. When you submit your research form online you can select whether you are submitting for World Tax, World Transfer Pricing or both.
A: Our research team undertakes a large number of telephone and face to face interviews during each research cycle where we ask for feedback on our rankings. In addition we also undertake a Practitioner Survey which is sent to leading individuals in the market allowing them to provide feedback on the rankings and recommend individuals from other firms.
A: Our editorial policy states that we only provide accompanying text on a law firm’s practice if they have engaged with the research process. This is to ensure that we are providing accurate information to our readership.
A: When you submit your research form there is an opportunity to highlight key individuals and rising stars from your tax and transfer pricing practices. However please be aware that recognition in any of our guides is based on market feedback and track record.
A: The International Tax Review (ITR) awards focus solely on performance in the last 12 months. The World Tax and World Transfer Pricing rankings are a reflection of a firm’s long-term track record in the market.

A: No. All client referee details submitted to us are treated as confidential and we only use the information to contact individuals as part of our Client Feedback Survey.
A: Yes, but please ensure that all confidential information is marked in RED. Our researchers will consider this information for the research but we will not publish any details of it.
A: Client feedback is very important to our research and we encourage firms to submit referees as part of the process. We do not penalize firms for not providing referees however please be aware that positive client feedback greatly enhances a firm’s chances of improving its ranking.
