The tax department at Matarasso Advogados provides services including but not limited to: Tax planning of enterprises, companies, infrastructure projects, equity and succession, Tax consulting covering all aspects and themes of Tax Law, involving the daily life of companies and individuals, and Tax and Social Security revision, covering administrative and, if necessary, judicial works. The team's work is broad, covering both the advisory and litigation spheres, in relation to all types of taxes.
During the research period, the team represented Planejar by filing of a lawsuit to declare the non-requirement to pay ISS on royalties arising from the assignment of the right to use a brand. The action was upheld to declare undue payment of the ISS levied on royalties remitted abroad as part of the licensing of the right to use the trademark.
The firm welcomed two new associates: Manoella Frazão Diógenes previously from Sacha Calmon Misabel Derzi Consultores e Advogados – SCMD and Paula Morcelles who was promoted.
