During the research period, the team advised TotalEnergies, a leading energy supplier in the UK, on the tax aspects of structuring and negotiating a joint venture (JV) with Casa dos Ventos (CDV) to develop, build, and operate a renewable portfolio of products. This is the first investment of this magnitude from an integrated oil company (IOC) in the renewable market and the tax aspects are key for the activity. The transaction will help cement the client to reach a leading position in the Brazilian renewable energy market.
