During the research period, a client approached GHBP Advogados to assess the possibility of reducing the amount to be paid as property transfer tax. Analyzing the operation, GHBP filed a Writ of Mandamus seeking an injunction so that the aforementioned tax would not be collected on the amount set by the Municipality of Campinas, but on the value of the operation. The preliminary injunction was granted, which enabled the customer to pay the reduced tax. After the procedural steps, the Judgment was published confirming the preliminary decision obtained by the company.
