Deloitte Portugal team currently employs multidisciplinary tax professionals and is one of the largest tax practices in Portugal, between Lisbon and Porto. The team of 39 partners and 280 professionals comprise six distinct service lines: business tax services; transfer pricing services; indirect taxes; employer services, financial incentives, and international taxation. The head of Tax is Luís Belo. Fellow partner Ricardo Reis leads the Global Employer Services function. Partner Paulo Gaspar is entrusted with the Porto office. VAT specialist Afonso Arnaldo leads the indirect practice.
The firm reassessed a client’s transfer pricing value chain policy for all subsidiaries. It also acted for a consumer goods customer in Portuguese exit tax guidance. Support was relayed to a multinational bank on an impactful Mutual Agreement Procedure.
