Candido Martins tax department has vast experience on tax advice and tax structures for M&A deals and in judicial/administrative procedures. The tax advisory department provides services including analysis, drafting of tax planning and tax consulting. The tax litigation department supports filing lawsuits to defend clients on undue tax requirements, advising the clients in risk assessment and revision of the client’s tax collection. During the research period, the firm provided tax assistance to CSN on the acquisition of Metalgráfica Iguaçú by an incorporation of shares with the subsequent transformation of Metalgráfica Iguaçú into a wholly owned subsidiary of CSN, another company listed at the Brazilian Stock Exchange. Additionally, the team aided shareholders of Agrocat in the sale of 80% of their shares to Agrogalaxy.
