Brigagão Duque Estrada Advogados is a new boutique firm established in 2018.
It has two locations in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and is led by five partners, with Gustavo Brigagão and Roberto Duque Estrada being the name partners. It specialises in indirect tax and tax controversy. Its clients belong to sectors such as financial services, entertainment, oil and gas, IT, real estate, and retail.
During the research period the firm represented the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) before the administrative courts to definitively cancel a tax assessment related to non-compliance with a regulatory rule that demanded the use of Brazilian flagged vessels” for the importation of goods benefited by tax exemptions.
