The tax department at BRZ Advogados advises many different perspectives from the Brazilian taxation, both in tax consulting and tax litigation. The team assists its clients with a broad range of tax matters, such as tax and tax planning advisory, international tax, legal opinions, M&A operations, draft of administrative defenses and filing of legal actions to reduce tax burdens and recover taxes unduly paid. Renata De Paoli Gontijo and Mariana Fineberg are key and leading partners in the firm.
During the research period, the firm assisted Intelsat Brasil in filing and representing in administrative/judicial procedure. Some actions taken included studying the legislation, literature, and case law associated with the issue at hand; assessing the best strategy; drafting defense.
