Gide Loyrette Nouel has announced the addition of a new international trade senior advisor to its Belgian office.

Pierre-Jacques Larrieu joins the international firm's Brussels operation from the European Commission, where he most recently served as the head of unit of the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union.

He brings with him an extensive background of work in international customs regulations, the determination of the origin of goods, and export control, in particular economic embargoes. He previously served as a cabinet member to Commissioner László Kovács in charge of customs issues, before taking up his head of unit role.
