Sophie Matatyaho is a Partner in the Tax and Private Client Departments at Herzog, Fox & Neeman.
Sophie advises high-net-worth individuals and families, trusts, trust companies, and new immigrants on complex Israeli and cross-border tax matters. Sophie’s practice focuses on the intersection of private wealth, international taxation, and trust law. She has extensive experience handling sophisticated multi-jurisdictional structures, often involving parallel tax regimes, and provides strategic and practical tax planning solutions.
In addition to her international practice, Sophie advises on domestic Israeli tax matters, including representation in tax controversies and litigation before the Israel Tax Authority. She is also recognized for her expertise in CRS and FATCA compliance, advising trustees, financial institutions, and family offices on regulatory classification, reporting obligations, and cross-border information exchange.
Sophie holds an LL.B. and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Tel Aviv University. She previously served as a teaching assistant in tax law at Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Law and at the College of Management.
Beyond her professional practice, Sophie mentors women in financial education through the Club 1000 program, with the aim of increasing women’s participation and investment in the capital market.
