Alejandra provides meaningful and relevant expertise to the tax practice area and has devoted herself to guaranteeing a standard of quality and detail that characterizes the law firm. Thanks to her 10+ year of experience focused on tax law, she upholds an insightful role and, as such, is a vital member of the team, bringing different points of view on taxation and placing people at the center of positive changes.

She also collaborates actively within the Firm supporting different members of the tax team, as well as participating in the activities organized by the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also seeks to create circles of trust with the members of the Firm and with clients.

Furthermore, Alejandra holds a leadership role, which she uses to prioritize team member’s personal and professional development. She actively coaches team members to focus on strategic thinking, innovation and efficient alternatives to solve issues. She has participated as a speaker in both law firm´s meetings and non-profit associations conferences, in order to explain the Mexican tax legislation and the obligations that are required to be complied by both taxpayers and non-taxed organizations.

Alejandra is a senior tax associate at Galicia since 2016.

In 2021, Alejandra was nominated as a “Rising Star” for The Legal 500, for her work in the Tax Practice at Galicia.

Alejandra is an active member of different organizations in Mexico, including the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Mexican branch, where she participates in both the WIN and YIN Committees; the Mexican Association of Business Lawyers “Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa (Anade), Colegio de Abogados, A.C.”, and “AbogadasMX”.

Within her professional achievements, she is a former student of Universidad Panamericana, where she obtained her law bachelor’s degree in 2009 and a Master’s Degree in Business Law in 2010. Alejandra also holds a Diploma in “International Taxation” granted by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and Duke University in 2017 and a Course in “International Taxation” given by Sheltons International Tax Training Institute in 2019.
