He is a Partner at Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cía., S.C. in Mexico City. His main areas of specialization are merger and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions including transfer pricing. He has also been heavily involved in unilateral and bilateral advanced pricing agreements (APA’s) and alternative dispute resolutions. He is a former professor of the Iberoamericana University. He currently teaches on taxation at the master program in law of the Panamericana University. He is a lawyer from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico. He is also a CPA from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and took a postgraduate program in tax law at Panamericana University.

Ricardo is a frequent speaker at international tax fórums mainly at the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and former president of the IFA Mexico branch as well as the Latin America Regional Committee of said Institution.
