The Ugandan office of the pan-African law firm offers a variety of tax services with expertise in tax controversy. The tax practice consists of three practitioners in the form of Donald Nyakairu, Phillip Karugaba and Patrick Turinawe.  

In a case study presented illustrates the tax team representing Kansai Plascon Uganda Limited against the Uganda Revenue Authority contending the client’s improper classification of goods on the certificate of origin under the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA Treaty), which were imported from Egypt between 2017 and 2021.
