We secured a win in a significant, high-profile corporate tax litigation in 2021 on behalf of Shionogi & Co., a major pharmaceutical company, following a seven-year court battle. The case involved an issue arising from an in-kind contribution of a partnership interest in a cross-border reorganization for the development of a drug to fight AIDS, and the amount of taxable income in dispute was approx. USD 317 million.
