International tax network Andersen Global has continued to expand its presence worldwide, signing collaboration agreements with a number of different firms.

In South America this included two new offices in Chile: law firm Chirgwin Peñafiel and tax firm SPASA Consulting. Chirgwin Peñafiel is led by Andrés Chirgwin and is a full-service law firm specialising in commercial and corporate law, M&A, energy, labour law and banking and finance. SPASA Consulting, meanwhile, has a focus on tax consultancy, accounting services and payroll compliance.

The firm also sought to unify its Latin America operations, with its operations in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico and Uruguay to rebrand as Andersen.

In West Africa, the network joined together with CFA Afrique, a tax and legal firm in the Burkina Faso capital Ouagadougou that has almost 20 professionals in the team and works with both local and international clients. In Gabon, it joined together with Libreville-based Business & Law Consulting, a firm with more than 10 professionals that advises businesses on contract, corporate, commercial, tax, international trade, employments and general business law. And in Mali the network added Juri-Partner, one of the largest firms in the country that includes three partners and more than 20 professionals, including two tax specialists.

The global group has also been expanding its presence into East Africa, entering several jurisdictions for the first time. In Eritrea this meant joining together with the country's oldest and largest law firm, Berhane Gila-Michael and Associates. Meanwhile, in South Sudan it joined with Juba-based firm Ajo & Co Advocates, a firm founded in 2013 an that has grown to include 12 professionals and provides legal services in tax, employment law, litigation, real estate, corporate, commercial and oil and gas. In Sudan it brought on board Ali Gailoub and Samia El Hashmi, a Khartoum-based firm founded in 1987 and led by Samia El Hashmi. Finally, in Burundi, the network welcomed CN & Associates, a firm comprised entirely of females founded by current managing partner Caritas Niyonzima that focuses on providing legal services in the corporate, banking, real estate, IP, public procurement, labour, divorce, tax, litigation and human rights.
