IB Interbilanz Consulting is part of the IB network of firms that spans eight countries in central and eastern Europe, which gives the tax practice the benefits of being part of an international set-up. The tax practice is led by Klara Vovk-Zavec, who is a director in the group, and comprises four practitioners.

The practice mostly deals with corporate income tax and VAT issues. Work this year includes advising on the takeover of a production company in a deal worth around €20 million. The practice also worked on a significant demerger accompanied by a merger valued at €15 million.

The practice is particularly strong in the automotive, retail, financial services and real estate sectors andworks mostly for multinational clients looking to invest in Slovenia, particularly from German-speaking countries.
