Candal Taxand has been improving the quality of services in its tax department in the areas of corporate tax, transfer pricing and valuations, indirect taxes and litigation. The tax practice has 30 professionals including four partners. The firm is in the process of expanding its transfer pricing services in Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Peru and Mexico within the next year. In June 2010 Carlos Díaz joined the tax team as a manager. The tax department is led by Manuel Candal, who has extensive knowledge of international tax, restructuring, cross-border transactions and transfer pricing matters. He is a "well respected" tax specialist in the market, says a competitor.
