Accreo Taxand has boosted its international tax and tax investment incentives teams this year. The practice has made 10 new hirings including partner Michal Gwizda. In February, the firm was invited to be the leading tax specialists to join the Polish Parliamentary Commission, which is dedicated to reform of the tax system. In January 2009, the team was involved in litigation before the Superior Administrative Court concerning VAT treatment of intra-community supplies of goods. The value of the deal was $2 million. The firm is the Polish member of Taxand, a global network of independent tax consultants.
