The tax team at Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados is considered "one of the most important" in the country, reported several market commentators. Founding partner Humberto Medrano is individually highlighted as a leading individual at the firm. The tax group is one of the largest in a Peruvian law firm, with between 10 and 15 lawyers, the team attracts stand-alone tax clients, which is rare in Peru. The firm has been involved in several significant tax litigation cases against the Peruvian tax authorities this year and also advised Credit Suisse in a $120 million transaction.
