Studio Uckmar is one of the oldest tax boutiques in Italy and is led by Victor Uckmar. He is highly respected within the market and serves as emeritus professor at the University of Genoa, among other academic posts.
The practice is split between Genoa, which focuses on litigation mostly, and Milan, where most of the advisory work is done. Recent work includes advising on the reorganisation of the Allianz group, and advising on one of the largest M&A deals in Italy since the introduction of the EU Cross-Border Mergers Directive.
The tax team also advised on the group restructuring of a large EU-based group which involved a merger, demerger and corporate reorganisation.
