Arsene Taxand has grown again this year. The practice is headed by Frédéric Donnedieu de Vabres, who is noted in the market as a corporate tax specialist. He leads a team of 62 fee earners.
The practice provides a full range of business tax services including corporate tax, M&A, real estate, private equity, indirect tax and transfer pricing. Most of the partners practice corporate tax work in some way, with M&A and private equity work being most prominent.
Last year Denis Andres advised Bridgepoint on the acquisition of the two largest jewellery retailers in France. The deal, which closed last October, involved the implementation of a double LuxCo structure. Other work includes advising on the sale of a number of shopping malls in six different countries to a newly-created fund.
Other clients they have represented this year include Schneider Electric, SAP, Accenture, Smithfield and Casino.
