Tax specialists Ken Bezozo, who is managing partner of the New York office, and Brandon Jones were part of the Haynes and Boone team that advised Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions Inc. (TAOS), a leading optoelectronic solutions provider, in its $320 million combination with austriamicrosystems, a leading global designer and manufacturer of high-performance analog integrated circuits for consumers. Austriamicrosystems acquired 100% of TAOS' shares and the TAOS stockholders became the largest stockholders in publicly traded austriamicrosystems, acquiring more than 20%. The Dallas and Houston tax groups have 11 partners between them, including Vicki Martin-Odette, who chairs the firm's business planning, taxation and benefits section.
