Cardenas Di Cio Romero Tarsitano & Lucero acted for Chevron Argentina in a leading case against the tax authorities involving company deduction of a loan (interest and exchange rate) to pay dividends. The firm also assisted Banco Supervielle with the structuring of a trust with the bank's real estate assets; this was a first in Argentina and gave the client the advantage of enhanced accelerated deductions and write-off of assets. The firm has significantly expanded in tax litigation, seeing considerable success. The team is made up of 11 lawyers and three accountants. Two partners head the tax department: Alberto Tarsitano and María Inés Giménez, both are well respected in the market.
