At PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading partner Roberto del Toro is retiring, although he will remain as external consultant with the firm. Nico del Castillo is also in a consulting role with the firm now. To make amends for the loss of senior members, the firm added seven new tax partners this year to bring the total group to over 700 people. The group has seen a decrease in work in the financial services and real estate sectors, but remains busy in others. Energy and mining are booming, as is the firm's dispute resolution practice. The firm serves every main player in electricity, oil and gas. Mexico's state-owned petroleum company Petroleos Mexicanos is a big client of the firm.
