Rebaza Alcázar & De Las Casas has a strong M&A tax practice led by founding partner Alberto Rebaza. Rebaza has emerged as "one of the leading Peruvian lawyers" according to competitors. In 2010 he worked on the sale of Cervesur to Backus breweries, which made Backus Peru's leading beer producer, and subsequently on the sale of Backus stock owned by Venezuela's Polar Brewery to the Colombian company Bavaria. The practice, however, lost two key lawyers in 2011. Rolando Cevasco went to Estudio Grau and Walther Belaúnde left to join Santiváñez Abogados.
