Neil Russ heads Buddle Findlay's tax practice with Tony Wilkinson and six fee earners.
Russ advises clients on inbound investment, private-equity transactions, corporate restructuring and restructuring securitisations, while Wilkinson works on the tax aspects of treaty settlements, corporate acquisitions and portfolio investment structures. Wilkinson was a key tax adviser for a client on their acquisition of Shell's retail assets in New Zealand.
Russ and Jason Boyes advised Kiwibank on offshore bond issuances under its Euro-commercial paper programme, and updates of the Australian bond programme.
Wilkinson, Boyes and senior associate Carrie Liu later advised Kiwibank on tax issues to do with several other restructurings.
