Much of the tax team's work is related to the strong corporate and capital markets departments at the firm and as such the firm is well placed to advise on transactional tax matters. The firm has handled some of the largest transactions in the Russian market over the past year. It advised PepsiCo on its acquisition of a majority stake in Russian food group Wimm-Bill-Dann in December 2010 in one of the largest ever foreign investments in Russia outside the energy sector.
