CMS Derks Star Busmann's tax department comprises two partners, Jochem de Koning and Willie Ambergen, and is split between their two offices in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
The practice specialises in international tax, real estate, M&A and tax litigation. Work this year includes advising a global private-equity firm on one of the few leveraged buy-outs in the market in the last 12 months, and advising a Spanish company on the acquisition of a group of companies from a constituent of the FTSE 250 index.
Ambergen, who specialises in real estate, also advised a client on the sale of a distribution centre located in Amsterdam.
