Atsushi Oishi has received praise in the market for his work. He advised Japanese e-commerce client DeNa Co in November 2010 on its $361 million acquisition of ngmoco, a US based developer of iPhone games and applications. The deal was the first cross-border triangular merger using the stock of a Japanese corporation to acquire a non-Japanese corporation. The transaction involved complex tax planning as well as a number of issues regarding structure, securities regulations, stock delivery methods and stock options in both Japan and the US.
