Nicolai Thorsted is head of the tax department at Horten which comprises three other partners and one other fee earner. A significant amount of the tax department's work comes in the shape of support provided to the firm's busy M&A and finance departments. They gave advice this year to Nordic bank SEB on the tax implications of the financing of private equity group Ratos' acquisition of Telia Stofa from TeliaSonera.
